Allogeneic NK Cell Therapy
Cord Blood derived NK Cells: Human Cord Blood is obtained from the umbilical cords of healthy new born babies. Alphageneron plans to extract and expand NK Cells from Cord Blood, to adapt its AP44 NK Cell Therapy to allogeneic NK Cell Therapy.
IPSC derived NK Cells: induced pluripotent stem cells ( iPSCs) are a pluripotent stem cell that can be generated directly from an adult human cell. The iPSC technology was pioneered by Shinya Yamanaka’s lab in Kyoto, Japan, and awarded the 2012 Nobel Prize along with Sir John Gurdon. Alphageneron is researching utilizing iPSC derived NK Cells, and iPSC derived NK Cells genetically modified with Chimeric Antigen Receptors.
